College Football Overload

Florida, University of Miami, Florida International University, and Florida State University all play football later this afternoon or this evening.  A place with multiple screens would be helpful but I think I may be toggling back and forth between the UM, Nebraska match up and the Roosevelts.

There are also quarter horse races at Prairie Meadows in Iowa to consider.

Florida will hopefully make it a close game.  Playing at Tusculoosa, the alumni will be watching and a Crimson Tide blowout and last year's four win season may send Coach Mushcamp to the unemployment office, sooner rather than later.  Good luck Gators

FIU is going to get crushed by Louisville as they rally after a loss to Virginia last week.  FIU plays the game close they can call it a morale victory.  Good luck Panthers

UM playing Nebraska on the road is a 7.5 point underdog.  The Hurricanes would like to bring back that old magic when National Championships happened when they beat Huskers in 1983, 1991, and 2001.  Miami is a young team and is on the improve, but I think they need more seasoning.  Good luck Hurricanes.

The Seminoles play Clemson in what is being called a rivalry game.  It goes back to when Coach Bowden played Coach Bowden a few years back.  The Noles would be favored with Jameis Winston playing the 2nd half after a very unfortunate verbal outburst at the FSU Student Center.  The Heisman Trophy winner has some issues.  Last night, it was decided the QB would sit out the whole game.  In today's paper the Noles are still 15 point favorites.  Good luck Noles laying 15 and having to play the whole game with a relatively inexperienced 2nd stringer leading the team.

TR died in 1919.  FDR died at age 63 in 1945.  Eleanor died in 1962.  Ken Burns will get my eyeballs tonight.  I've already got twelve hours invested in this history lesson.
