Even Appointments Require Patience Vol 2

 A friend once said you don't shoot birds with rifles.  Last night and again this morning I just missed scoring an appointment.  The time and location I chose was filled but I am getting quicker and did some research about JMH clinics and their locations.  Next time I will chose between a rehab center on 12th avenue and Jackson South. Neither would be as convenient as the CVS I use, Doctor's Office, Metro Zoo, Tropical Park some other unknown sites as of now near the University of Miami.

Meanwhile, The Miami Hurricane electronic version was hacked after they reported large gatherings of students featuring hardly any social distancing, beer drinking, and hardly a mask in sight.  

And as most stuff in Miami, it's complicated, students renting houses off campus may have started the party but these calls are not emergencies in the usual sense, the owners of the property that are ultimately responsible, and South Miami, Coral Gables and Metro Police would rather be doing something else with their time.

    JMH gave out appointments at about 9:00am 2/8/21. I signed up for an appointment at 2:00pm on 2/8/21 at the JMH Rehab Center across the street from the JMH Metrorail Station. No parking problems using the rail and I was in an out in about 20 minutes. Next visit on 3/1/21. A twitter heads up made this all possible.

Internet Dust Ups

 A high school classmate shared on FB, something from a 64 year old commercial pilot who had passed a exam to fly on of the latest jets in their fleet of aircraft.  I was also aware of an FAA rule about retirement at age 65 for commercial pilots.    In the U.S.,  there are no  FAA  age limits for pilots except for commercial airline pilots employed by airlines certificated under 14 CFR Part 121 . These airlines cannot employ pilots after they reach the age of 65. However, these pilots may stay on with a Part 121 carrier in some other role, such as flight engineers. What Is Official These Days?

 I would guess most people would understand what Official means.  Just because a person holds a public office doesn't mean everything he might do is official and everything he might not do is official as well. “The modern conservative is engaged in one of man’s oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness". from J. Kenneth Galbraith interview. And oh, by the way, moral justification at times isn't much more than a fig leaf, you can bet someone got screwed or got the proverbial get out of jail free card.
