Run Uno Run !
Fugue for Tin Horns from Guys and Dolls
The horse is tearing down the barn, let's try this...
The horse needs a tightener, he/she will do better next time.
The horse needed the last race, he/she will do better this time.
If the horse doesn't fire this time we may really need to drop him in class or the horse may need a career change
And the owner may think, if the horse doesn't run this time, I'm tired of all the excuses, I may need a new trainer.
It was raining early this morning, hopefully it will clear up and the inside post will not mean having to run through swampy conditions.
Update
I got to the track just in time to hear that the day's races would be cancelled because of the weather and the track condition. The track employee in charge of selling programs called the jocks a bunch of pussies. Not wanting to comment about the relative safety of jockeys after driving from South Miami to Hialeah in traffic. I just shook my head and drove home to research options regarding health care insurance options. And so it goes. Pick 6 is over $70,000. Will be doing research and looking for partners to take that one down.

"I got a horse right here his name is Paul Revere
And here's a guy that says that if all weather's clear,
Can do, can do, this guy says the horse can do."
Can do, can do, this guy says the horse can do."
At the bar on Sunday the conversation went kind of like this: I think I'm gong to take .... off. Raul was by the barn this morning and he wants to ride "Uno".
Raul Gutierrez would be a late jockey change. The track handicapper speaks kindly of the horse and the trainer. The potential new jock is on a hot streak. The horse's last out was good and he is possibly getting some class relief.
I wonder how many times a variation of this conversation have taken place between an owner an a trainer.
The horse is finally feeling good.
I keep entering him in races and they never fill, this time we at least got the right distance.
The horse is in a tough race but I think we can hit the board
