An American Oligarch's Take On Governing

The question of whether you can do something should be tempered by a second question, whether you should do something.  In matters of intelligence gathering related to the national security of the United States the President of the can reveal information gathered by the government.

The Washington Post is reporting the President Trump did reveal "highly classified" information while having discussions with the Russian Ambassador and the Russian Foreign Minister.  According to the report the information came from a source that did not authorize its release to the Russian Government.

1) Can the United States of America keep secrets given to them by others or discovered by their own agents.?

2) Does it make any sense to be discussing this with Russian Officials where the only folks reporting the were the Russian media.?

3) Is there a double standard on this issue and almost everything the Trump Administration does.? In  related matters how much can Trump staff do to clean up messes that the boss creates as a result of willfulness and inexperience if he is never wrong and they get blamed for everything.?

4) How much longer can this go on?

Internet Dust Ups

 A high school classmate shared on FB, something from a 64 year old commercial pilot who had passed a exam to fly on of the latest jets in their fleet of aircraft.  I was also aware of an FAA rule about retirement at age 65 for commercial pilots.    In the U.S.,  there are no  FAA  age limits for pilots except for commercial airline pilots employed by airlines certificated under 14 CFR Part 121 . These airlines cannot employ pilots after they reach the age of 65. However, these pilots may stay on with a Part 121 carrier in some other role, such as flight engineers. What Is Official These Days?

 I would guess most people would understand what Official means.  Just because a person holds a public office doesn't mean everything he might do is official and everything he might not do is official as well. “The modern conservative is engaged in one of man’s oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness". from J.
