In high school I played golf on the high school team. I wasn't very talented but I liked the game back then. I worked at a golf course near my house. The money I made helped pay for a part of my college education. I washed dishes, sold hot dogs, cooked hamburgers, learned how to cook eggs, stocked the bar, cleaned toilets, made sure golf carts were charged, shined shoes, and did other tasks. I got to play golf for free. Eventually, I got a letter for playing golf, it took me four years, I got it for being a member of the team, not because I was any good.
