It's Graduation Time
I'm reminded of Kurt Vonnegut saying something like if this isn't nice, what is? He was a speaker at a graduation giving out advice as commencement speakers do.
An then I heard a guy on the radio talking about the mad rush to apply for college by kids in high school. He also said something that will be heard by parents but probably not heard by their children.
"Where you go, is not who you will be." This is from Frank Bruni of the New York Times.
It's a long time between 17 years old and retirement and there is a difference between life and advice about life.
And then Mark Twain who is a lot older than most of us said, "Never let school interfere with your education."
Work on that bucket before you kick it.
